American market demand has played a big part in the 2006 BMW X3’s presence, notably in the fact that due to larger demand for the 3.0i, there is no longer a 2.5i in the 2006 BMW X3.
Stylish changes included a stock body kit of the “M Technik”, and Sport Package versions got even more than they bargained for with the addition of the body kit, including fully painted door sills, wheel arches and rear plastic.
The 2006 BMW X3 will have to wait for another year to see the introduction of the BMW R6 engines, as this generation will retain the original 3.0L V-6 Engine producing 225HP although the gas tank got an increase of a few percentages, a nice little bonus for those long drives.
